The fee for the night is usually determined by length of function, type of function, distance involved, etc. un1que does not deal with deposits or VAT.
The fee is normally requested to be paid before the day of the function - a post-dated cheque is a popular way for my clients to pay.
One less thing for me to do on the night!



How long is a piece of string? un1que carries literally thousands of songs to every function and I pride myself with a vast musical knowledge and catalogue – music for every occasion! Every function is treated as an un1que event and music is, and never has been, an issue.
However, it is always sound advice(!) to contact me prior to your function to give me a flavour of your personal musical requirements for the occasion.
After 30 years of DJing, you would think I should know by now how to milk a crowd!

N.B. One person's 'essential party tune' is another's BIG no, no!



Absolutely! No problem, I can ‘call’ the most popular Scottish/Ceilidh dances if required.

P.S. I have been known to even demonstrate on the floor, first hand some of the steps! It does help when your Mother is a qualified Scottish Country Dance teacher!

No fixed times - the customer decides. However...............
The best, most memorable function always ends when the time is right. The basic principle of ‘ending on a high note’ is definitely true for any function. The simple advice of a 4 hour disco is probably the best piece of advice to make your function the special one. So times around 7.30 till midnight or 8pm – 12.30am with a 30 minute break somewhere in the middle, have proved over the years to be exactly what is required. But you, the customer, dictate when and indeed how, your function ends.

un1que’s reputation is based quite simply on getting ‘the basics’ right. i.e. turning up on time, playing the music you would expect to hear at a party, being smartly dressed, equipment that is dependable and reliable, playing the music at an acceptable volume and treating every function as a truly special, dare I say it, un1que occasion. Listed below are just some of the functions, I have played down the years:

• Weddings – a definite speciality. For the best part of 30 years I have DJ'd at close to
    1000 Weddings! Must be doing something right somewhere!
• Birthday parties - 18th, 21st, and all the big ‘O’s, including a recent 80th!
• Children’s discos (it sometimes helps when your full time occupation is a school
    teacher!)
• Anniversaries
• Engagements
• Graduations
• BBQ’s
• Fashion Shows
• Prom nights – un1que even played at a Primary School Prom – a first and a most
    brilliant night was had by one and all!
• Reunions/theme nights - including 60s, 70s, (a particular un1que forté as I was there!)
    80s, fancy dress, etc.
• Leaving parties
• Welcome home parties
• Boat launches – amazing but true!

... or indeed any other excuse for a party you can think of!
